Recreational soccer is a great environment for fun and learning basic soccer skills.  Any players that are considering joining a recreational team should be made aware of the following:

• Recreational soccer is very affordable if you are interested in joining the sport.
• Equipment required includes a water bottle, cleats, shin guards and socks worn over the shin guards.
• Jerseys will be provided as part of the registration fees for each player and can be kept at the end of the season.  
• Playing time is guaranteed, every player who registers will play equally regardless of ability.
• No tryouts are necessary to join a team, players will be placed on a team based on birth year and ability to ensure teams are balanced. 
• All U5 Timbits teams will be co-ed regardless of the number of players registered.  The U7 / U9 teams generally have enough registered players to form separate boys' and girls' teams.  The U11 / U13 teams historically have been co-ed teams due to low registration numbers. 
• Special requests for players to be on the same team will only be granted if both parties have put in the request for the same player via email; only one request per player is allowed.  The teams need to be divided equally to allow all players to have a positive experience.
• There are minimal practice days and recurring weekly games, making it easier on the family schedule.  A season end tournament is included in the registration fees.
